Having continued problems with a steady connection using my old computer (XP 4 years old, garbage)
ABV says that there are a few DJ's who use vista and shoutcast together. But, on the shoutcast download page it doesn't mention vista at all. Could one of you help us out so we can keep our show going?
Thanks!

you serious? Was planning of getting me vista...
better keep old computer i supose
ay ay will help as much as i can :-)..got it up and running..and gotta say..if ya pc is any good,,vista is fookin brilliant :-) those who say its not...you gotta move with the times..ya know..vinyl is dead long live the mp3 n all..lmfao
my vinyl is not dead at all, just had a conversation with it and they told me that they are doing good! I recently had to format my whole system, all the mp3 are gone, but my vinyl remains in the same good condition....you cannot top vinyl!
yeh nothin like hard copy of the tunes you love... an vinyl just feels better then an mp3...but progress is the way forward sadly and it will take quality with it.. like it always does....

Been using Vista a while now and dont have any problems, its windows vista premium i got with my lap top so have put it on my PC......the only problem i did have first of all was when i put my details in shout cast , the next time i ran it the details were gone, so it was like you would have to put the details in everytime you do a show, not good...... a simple way round this is to right click and run as administrator and put the details in. close it and run as administrator again and the details stay. After that you can just run normally.
Other then that i have no probs and i think vista is better then xp ( i must be lucky) even some older programs work better on vista then they did on XP.....
Neway isnt windows 7 out soon?..... it took them a long time to get things right with xp. lots of operating systems before that were shit, lets hope they get it right this time, because although im lucky i here many others are not.... i thinks its a good idea to make sure ya bios( but do not fuck with this unless u no what u are doing!! cant stress that enuff!!) is upto date and drivers etc
i have typed tooo much and cant be arsed to spell check

Also my pc is prob older then 4 years or there abouts, what started to let me down was my ISP, aol changed my package, limited shit and then i started getting the skips, its been fine since i swapped to o2
So perhaps its a conection thing, or something running in the background....
